Here is a complete guided version of the traditional practice of recollecting the six elements, a strong and moving antidote to narrow, fixed self-views of all kinds. This was recorded on a tape recorder high in the Spanish mountains - listen for the wind rushing through the shrine room!
Please note that some small noise artefacts can be heard occasionally on this talk due to a poor original recording.
Recorded at Guhyaloka Retreat Centre, 1992
This talk is, by default, only available to members of the Western Buddhist Order. This isn’t because there’s anything secret or mystical going on - it’s usually because it’s of very specific practical interest to the WBO itself or contains quite personal material relating to an individual’s life and practice, which is being shared with an invited audience of friends and colleagues. If you’re not a member of the WBO and have a reason you’d like to hear the talk anyway, feel free to contact us and ask. We’ll be happy to pass your request on to the speaker concerned and arrange for you to have access if they’re amenable. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee either contact or permission.
